About me

I am a fourth year economics graduate student at the University of California, San Diego. My research focuses on venture capital and applied finance. An extension of Cochrane (2005) is nearly complete and a paper on the networks of venture capitalists is on the drawing board. I also work as a quantitative analyst for a local venture capital firm (i.e. I am the data guy). I prefer to manage data inside a MAMP (Mac-Apache-mySQL-PHP) framework, so this area will be covered in detail on this site.
